When designing this development of 52 dwellings on a site off Templefields in Andoversford, we strongly considered the relationship of the site with the village and also the surrounding landscape. Located at the edge of the settlement, we felt that it was best to move away from the more organic street patterns in the centre of the village to create a more ordered development which integrates existing prominent landscape features on the site such as a deciduous hedgerow and mature trees. A soft planted edge and new trees help to further blend the housing into its countryside surroundings.
