This application comprising 395 attractive dwellings has been thoughtfully designed to ensure that it reflects the local area, enhancing it whilst creating a distinct character of its own. Permeability of views is retained through the road layout, purposely set at 90 degrees to the canal to ensure that views through the site and to the canal are maintained. The aspiration of the development has always been to make best use of the site’s existing landscape features. Therefore, existing trees and hedgerows have been retained wherever possible. Green corridors will provide pedestrian links to Canalside and towards the River Tame flood plain across the site using existing green features.
